Pray the Price

I want to share with you what I believe is meant by "Pray the Price" a term which I did not coin but was used by an evangelist some years ago.
As I began to look at my prayer life and analyze it, I looked back to when I first came to Christ in 1987, at that time even though I had been raised in church, God's word had no life, but after my conversion His Word was life literally, and every word I read in the Bible to me was what we as christians were to do literally there was no gray area, if God's word said to do it then that is what I did, God had gotten rid of my "stinkin thinkin".
Luke 11:1-4 "And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples". 2 "And he said unto them, when you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, as in heaven so in earth". 3 "Give us day by day our daily bread". 4 "And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us. And leadlead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil".
Matthew 6:5-18 " And when thou prayest, thous shalt not be as the hypocites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues (churches) and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and my Faher which seeth in secret shall reward the openly. 7 But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
We can recite this prayer from memory in about fifteen seconds, but to really pray this prayer, as outlined by Jesus, can and should take more than an hour. Now don't think of this as a ritual prayer, that is not what it should be, but if you want the power of God in your life, follow along over the next few days as we break down, what I believe and have proven in my life to be, the nine essentials of the Lords prayer for break through in your life, your spouses life, your family, your ministry, your church, your nation and relationship with others.
Because if you don't "Pray the Price" you will not be succesfull in your walk with Christ.
